Hey, TRY….!!

Hello again!
Two days ago I was having a conversation with a few friends of mine. We were talking about what teenagers usually talk about just when the conversation took a turn and landed on the topic ‘Indian Society’. As this topic progressed, I heard my friends say that women are not given the respect that they deserve in our society. They said that our society might have progressed in other fields but what we still lack is social progress. We need a mindset makeover. Something that will change our views about each other, and teach us to respect individuality and cohesiveness at the same time.
I realized that they were right. Absolutely right. Today’s society is exactly as described above. That is the reason why most Indian citizens choose to work and settle abroad. Because although we have a wide range of moral values, what we lack is their practice. But somewhere one must also think about what must be done. Blaming the society for its pitiful state and leaving the country to survive on its own is simply not the solution, is it?
We live in our homes, do we not keep them clean and tidy and presentable? Is not India our home? Isn’t it our responsibility to keep it clean from the *dirt* that we have? Shouldn’t we be the ones to ACT on the problems that we have instead of just being complaint boxes? If we have the guts to say bad things about our own country, our own homeland, we better have the guts to be able to change the BAD we speak about, into GOOD. Yes, completely agreeing to the fact that our society isn’t living up to expectations of the population, what I mean to say is that we shouldn’t give up on HOME. I think we should try, try our hardest to see what we can do, to raise this society above what we had ever even imagined it to be. No matter what age we are, what place, which religion, cast and culture we belong to, we need to believe that we can make a difference. And yes, we CAN. So I just need all of you to believe that, and TRY, trying never cost anyone anything. J
Have a nice day! J
